“GROOVIN” – Cutting Board – HOLY PINSTRIPE SERIES
Have you ever been driving in the car, and just felt the need to crank the radio all the way up? Well that is how this Cutting Board came to light!
During our 2022 Production Run of Cutting Boards, a member of our team decided to crank the radio all the way up when we were laying out the patterns for our boards. We decided to name this one “Groovin” because that’s what we were doing while making it! And it even has a juice groove! How fitting for the occasion!
This Particular Board is 11″ x 17″ x 1″ Thick!, Again, not too big, nor small, and perfect for any kitchen!
Learn about how Hardwood Cutting Boards, like ours, are better than ones made from plastic or softwood:
A more durable material, wood is a common choice for cutting boards — but not all wood is created equal. Harder woods such as maple, teak and acacia are less prone to damage from knives and absorb less water than softer woods such as cypress. Although harder woods are more durable, they also are harder on knives than softer woods, making them more susceptible to dulling or damage.
Since wood is a more porous material, these cutting boards are best for foods such as breads, produce and cheese. While they can be used to cut raw meats, to avoid the possibility of cross contamination, it is best to use one cutting board for uncooked meats, seafood and poultry, and another for ready-to-eat foods. Wooden boards should be washed by hand with soap and hot water and allowed to dry before storing. To maintain wooden boards and prevent staining or cracking, use a soft cloth or paper towel to rub mineral oil onto the surface after each use. (Sourced from the Food and Nutrition Organization)
